Backups protect your server data from accidental loss, corruption, or unwanted changes. Pexnode provides built-in backup management with both manual and scheduled options.
Creating a Manual Backup
Click Backups in the sidebar of your server panel.
Click the Create Backup button at the top of the page.
Give it a descriptive name like “Before modpack install” or “World save June 1”. If left blank, a timestamp will be used.
The backup will be created in the background. You’ll see a progress indicator. Large servers may take a few minutes.
Restoring a Backup
In the Backups tab, locate the backup you want to restore.
Click the restore button (↩ icon) next to the backup.
Confirm the restore. This will overwrite your current server files with the backup contents.
The server will restart automatically with the restored files.
Downloading Backups
You can download any backup to your computer for safekeeping. Click the download button next to a backup to get a .tar.gz archive.
Backup Limits
Your plan includes a set number of backup slots. When you reach the limit, you’ll need to delete an older backup before creating a new one. You can see your backup usage at the top of the Backups page.
Automated Backups with Schedules
For automatic backups, use the Schedules feature to create a recurring backup task. See our Schedules guide for setup instructions.
