Importing a Server from Another Host

Switching to Pexnode from another host? The Server Importer makes it easy to transfer your entire server — world, plugins, configs, and all — without manual file transfers.

How to Import

1Open the Importer Tab

Click Importer in the sidebar of your new Pexnode server.

2Enter Connection Details

Provide the SFTP/FTP connection details from your old host: hostname, port, username, and password.

3Select Files

The importer connects to your old server and shows its files. Select everything you want to transfer (world, plugins, configs, etc.).

4Start Import

Click Import. The files will be transferred directly from your old host to your Pexnode server.

5Verify & Start

Once complete, check the files in the File Manager and start your server.

Tip: Before importing, make sure your Pexnode server is set to the same engine and version as your old server to avoid compatibility issues.
Warning: The importer transfers files as-is. If your old server had a different directory structure, you may need to rearrange files after import.

Manual Transfer Alternative

If the importer doesn’t work with your old host, you can manually transfer:

1Download from Old Host

Download your server files from your old host (usually via their file manager or SFTP).

2Zip the Files

Compress everything into a .zip file.

3Upload to Pexnode

Go to Files in your Pexnode panel, upload the zip, and extract it.

4Configure & Start

Set the correct engine version, then start your server.
